Bodkin Review -This Weekend You Should Watch This Interesting Comedy Show
Whether it’s a series in the first few episodes, do a podcast or a series of results from telling a story about a place that’s not your specialty, a place where people don’t have outsiders, the relationship of audiences, viewers or consumers and media is non-consensual. Right off the bat Gilbert tells Amy that “the best stories are always secrets.” This shows us that he himself doesn’t know that the comments he makes come from real people as Dov aptly compares a true crime podcast to a “society hang-up”. That puts him Gilbert, and Amy on opposite sides of the stage as the series progresses, and the themes he tried to try to tackle didn’t deviate from “Bodkin’s” inner workings real. But by the fourth act the show begins to give voice to the supporting characters, to the characters that the three heroes unknowingly use and arguably the most interesting one here is Seamus, the voice of the city’s most malicious and powerful citizen. While Dove believes he was responsible for the three Samhain disappearances, Gilbert doesn’t know that.
