Dune: Part Two - Enjoy New Hollywood Film Review

 Dune: Part Two may well be a defining piece of 21st century science fiction, but it’s not a perfect feel-good movie, especially the ending. Frank Herbert doesn’t want to be a white savior story, Villeneuve recently told Hoai-Tran Bui on Inverse. “He wanted to do the opposite. But for decades, there has been debate about how well the first Dune book delivers an ominous message. If Frank Herbert had tried to challenge the white savior narrative in the first dune, he might have done a better job," science fiction historian Alec Nevala-Lee stated in 2022.
