Five Blind Dates - Enjoy Latest Film Review
Lia owns a small tea shop that doesn't get many customers, and she's considering shutting it down. But after an astrologer tells her that her business success is tied to her love life and predicts she'll find her soulmate within the next five dates, the introverted Lia decides to give blind dates a chance in order to save her shop.
The 2024 romantic-comedy film "Five Blind Dates" is directed by Shawn Seet and written by Nathan Ramos-Park and Shuang Hu, who also portrays the main character, Lia. From the very beginning of the movie, it becomes evident who Lia will probably end up with. "Oh no, if she chooses him, it will be so disappointing," I silently pondered. Regrettably, my prediction turned out to be correct. It's disheartening to have a captivating storyline about a woman embarking on thrilling dates only to see her settle for the most predictable option.
Shuang Hu portrays the character of Lia, who is constantly being set up on blind dates by her family. The pressure is on for Lia to find someone, especially with her sister's upcoming wedding. Lia's best friend Mason is there to support her throughout the dating process, making their friendship endearing. Check out more blogs

Since the story is set in Australia, much of the running time has a lovely beach-summer romantic mood to the photography. "Five Blind Dates" is a neat movie at one hour and twenty-three minutes, but not enough time is given to developing the right kind of chemistry with each of the five dates, so everything feels a little hurried and disorganized.
Lia's dedication to brewing traditional Chinese tea was the standout feature of "Five Blind Dates." However, the storyline was quite predictable, with Lia going on wild dates, facing family conflicts, and ultimately ending up with the expected guy. The ending was definitely no surprise, but Lia did get her fairytale ending.
